Oh, COOL!

Basically, they have a biodegradable plastic. They use this plastic to make cell phone covers which contain a sunflower seed, so when you throw it out you get a sunflower. Cool, no?

Got a problem here.

One of my friends, her son is on Abilify because he's been diagnosed as bipolar. She suspects that he may have AS instead. Since maybe a month after he went on the drug, his problems have either increased or merely changed, I'm not sure which. Anyway, I pointed out to her that autistics are known to react atypically to certain drugs, and that there's problems associated with neuroleptics. However, I really don't know that much about what, specifically, is possible - as I have no interest in taking medications (it's a trial to even get me to take midol once a month) I haven't done much research into this. So I said I'd ask youse guys. Because that's what the internet is for.

Apparently, the parents originally asked the daughter to kill herself as well. Because the only unhealthy member of this family is the daughter, of course.

Note that in this article she's said to suffer from "Asperger's syndrome, obsessive compulsive disorder and severe anxiety problems." The mother said that she loves her daughter "unconditionally" but that she thought she should kill herself because "it would be better for her because she did not have any life."

Of course, they only did this because they loved her. They loved her so much that they were huge enablers and gave her more than they could afford.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why bullying is wrong.

Because it kills.

Yes, this boy committed suicide - but he was killed by the people who wouldn't let it drop, who had to bother him day after day. I shouldn't have to say this, it should be obvious, but there's always somebody who thinks I'm wrong, that if the bullied had just fit in, had conformed more, it would be different. Well, that's not true. If the victim fits in, the bullies just switch to somebody new. The only way to stop it is to make sure everybody knows that this is unacceptable.
