Finally found out who those people in my Latin class are

The extra ones, that is. One, of course, is Aaron. One is somebody I've seen hanging around. One is an immigrant of some sort, giving her the problem where she translates Latin into her language and then has trouble translating it into English. And one is a freshman, the first person I've seen who uses a laptop for schoolwork. Other than myself, that is. Oh, and there's Tina, but she's not an extra person and she can't show up anyway. All online.

AND I found the outlet in the classics library. I love that place. I think I'll show up there early from now on and play on the SNES. Heck, I can hang out there between classes, except that thankfully I have no "between classes". But in other terms. Nice, quiet, and I can play Super Mario. What more could you ask for?

Okay, I *know* none of you would do this...

But just in case, this is my normal rant about l337 and chtspk.

Please remember that some people use textreaders. Some textreaders are very old and can't even translate ALL CAPS. I don't think any can correctly translate l337. Since you're online, you have no way of knowing which of your friends are blind, or dyslexic, or think that the technology is just oh so cool.

Please remember that other people aren't native speakers of English or have other problems reading nonstandard spelling.

Please remember that l337 and chtspk make you look really, really stupid and/or ignorant.

Please remember that it is fucking rude to type lIk Dys. Don't. Ever.

So next time somebody goes on and on about the look of sorrow in so-and-so's "orbs", don't tell them to say "eyes", tell them to say "orbis". Fun!

Look, people. We all know not to feed the troll. However, if everybody has already told the troll that they're trolling, adding your agreement to the mix is NOT HELPFUL. That's another type of "feeding the troll". Only one person needs to respond, and that should be ONLY to say "you're a troll, I've said it, everybody else shut up".

Otherwise, you're just giving them what they want.
