Mother's day news....
May. 10th, 2004 12:29 amFirst of all, a happy mother's day to anybody who is a mother, takes on anything like a mothering role, or is going to be a mother soon. And for my childfree friends, a happy "thank god I'm not a mother" day to you. Yes, I'm late. Shut up.
This is also Ana and Seth's birthweek, so a happy birthday to them. I can't believe it's been a year, it alternately seems like more and less time.
The good news:
They both have a number of fancy skills, like clapping, walking a little unassisted, standing unassisted, standing up without help (not pulling up, standing up), saying 1-3 words, recognizing several times that.... They're both happy and well loved.
The bad news:
Ana's started throwing temper tantrums, fully half a year ahead of schedule. By temper tantrum, I don't mean "being out of control", I mean "being fully in control and trying to get something out of this". She'll outgrow this, though, and I guess it's a sign of increased mental maturity.
( As for Seth.... )
So yeah. Happy day all around. I'm going to get some board books focusing on "mothers and love" for the two pairs of parents and their kids. Oh, and in other good news, Seth is being a lot better cared for than he was. We all know I've had my worries, but despite all this, I think things are getting a lot better. Lizziey knows I think she's immature, I can say it here, but I think she's actually grown up a lot, especially in the past few months. I'd say the same about Jenn, but she can't grow up, she's already a grown up big sister wonderful person.
