So, Ana saw her first snow Friday/Saturday

We didn't take her out in it, we brought it in to her. At first, she kept picking it up and trying to bring it to her mouth, as babies are wont to do, then looking at her hand funny when it was gone by the time it got there. She wasn't happy about this, but 'dul and I were laughing, so she started grinning too. Then she just smashed it up for a while. After 'dul left, I got her some more snow, much cleaner, and put it near her mouth for her. She glommed onto that quick and put her head down to the mat to eat it. Cute baby.

Next day, we brought the snow in a bowl for her. I kept trying to get her to put some on 'dul to get back at him for sticking some down my back yesterday, but no such luck. She was having too much fun smashing it. *le sigh* There's always next month, I guess.... *huggles the catgirl*

So, I'm sitting here eating my pasta*

and I reach over and just eat some sans fork. Now, in case you don't know this, I do that all the time. Not in public, generally, but by myself all the time, and often among my family. I really don't like using silverware. It seems awkward mihi, and uncomfortable, and I always drop something. I will quite happily eat, say, Jello (until I found out how they make gelatin, ugh) or soup (drink the liquid, pick out the solids) or cereal (see soup) with my hands. Best meal out I ever had was at an Ethopian restaurant, no silverware. Anyway, while I was eating, it occured to me... am I the only one who does this? If not, why do we force ourselves to use silverware?
