Got Chinese food. Played with the babies. Baked a cake... Jenn, I'm coming over tomorrow to finish off my schezuan beef and cake, 'k?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENN!!!!!

I'll add a phone post to this later.

Anyway... *giggles* The candles lit up the entire room, there was enough to read by. It took us so long to light them all that half of them were little more than stubs. Jenn will be getting her wish, for those who are interested. Ana is cute, as always, and apparently is quite determined to find her mommy... she's crawled all over the house to see Jenn if Jenn's been in another room. She's looked for me too, once... I was hiding from her, she guilt trips me if I eat in front of her, and she's not old enough to fully appreciate cookies yet. Seth can come when you call him. Lizziey's getting irked that I call him the same way I call kittens, with my tongue clicking... apparently she doesn't realize that by now that's just my instinctive way to get somebody's attention. *shrugs*

Back to Jenn, I got her one Octavia Butler book she doesn't have, and a cookie cookbook. The last was a bit self-serving, but I'm sure Jenn knows that.

*huggles her big sister* Have a happy birthday, and many happy returns. You old person, you.

I hate Michael.

"So, you're applying to law school soon, right?" (remember, he is NINETEEN)
"Yep"
"Where you applying?"
"Only Harvard and Yale."

*stabstabstab*

What a way to make a person feel inferior, right? Hm. Inferior. I wonder if that's a passive? Or a deponent? Sounds like fero, feri, tuli, latus with a preposition. Oops. Tangent. What was I saying? Right. Michael. Evil person. *smites*

Edit: Boy did I have that wrong:

inferior (adj.) - 1432, from L. inferior "lower," comp. form of inferus (adj.) "that is below or beneath," from infra "below."

I keep forgetting that's how you make the comparative, and you'd think it'd be easy to remember, as it is so similar to English -er!

I need a copy of cicero, this working from online thing isn't working. It's about $12, I'll pay you back, double promise.

On the subject, Professor Dunkle is getting a bit irked, though he'd never say so, none of us had prepared properly for today's class. I just admitted it and sat out, offering some advice when Tina and Michael got confused as a way to salvage my credibility. Michael admitted it and went on through, as he claims to never prepare for class (show-off), but this time he should have, he was stumblesome. And Tina never admitted a thing, as she had prepared, she just messed up somewhat. So I have to workwork before Thursday.

It used to be that there'd be a big jerk in one direction or another every time the boat docked, but since we were all prepared for it, the odds of you actually getting hurt (assuming you weren't standing on the stairs) were slim. Since the crash, though, they've been extraordinarily conscientious about not crashing and killing us all. So today, when we had one of the worst bumps I can remember, it seriously freaked everyone out. Honestly, a few people even fell, people who weren't on the stairs. I am NOT happy.

Still, all's well that's well in the end, nobody was seriously hurt/injured... in fact, other than a few bruises, I don't think anyone was injured at all. I certainly am unharmed.

All posts have been exaggerated. )

Now, in fairness, a lot of those people, whatever they say, seem to care a great deal about kids... there's a number of posts on the subject of "parents shouldn't do that sort of fucked up shit to their kids", with the fucked up shit in question ranging from not feeding them right to murder. And it's certainly a rant community more than anything else, I'm not denying that we all need a place to vent. But... *giggles* Sometimes certain comments are over the top.

I promise this is the last time. If you have no intention of helping me with this, good, you shouldn't. This is your warning that what's behind this link is blatant begging on behalf of Ana and Seth. I just want two three* sets each of touch sensations, sight sensations, and sound sensations blocks. Though extra is always good :) I doubt anyone will get me those, which is why I don't mind posting here. The presents would be passed straight to the babies anyway.

After minimal luck finding them online (other than sold out or packaged with learning/ark/truck blocks) I decided to check a store. No luck there. So now I'm going to do one step better and just brave times square to order right in the store. I'll do that in about a week or so.

*I think I want a set each for me!

I doubt these are offensive, but just in case, they're lj-cutted )

Yeah, I have a pretty weak sense of humor, sorry.
