I just had the BEST grilled cheese sandwich. Seriously. Okay, so no bacon, but that's bad for my health anyway. And it requires extra cooking. But it was extra sharp cheddar, on health nut bread, with the ripest tomato, not soft yet but not pink, just right, and a few slices of onion... just enough to taste, not enough to be oniony. It didn't even get burnt! And the cheese actually MELTED this time, I didn't have to microwave it. AndandAND it didn't fall apart when I flipped it. So it was GOOOOOOOOD. And I'm a bit pathetic for blathering on and on about it. Oh well!
Then again, we all know I live for my keyboard.
But I have to rant. So you get to read!
As you may or may not know, I'm slightly autistic. ANYway, here I am on this discussion board, a very slow one, and this idiot of a woman is posting how she can't understand aspies, and going on and on about how SHE knows that we've all got no empathy and whatever. And every time someone says "that's not true, that's not true" she claims it is, based on her flawed understanding of the behaviour of people who may or may not ACTUALLY be on the spectrum. So however many people who KNOW they know aspies (and aren't just guessing) or who ARE on the spectrum, they're all wrong, she's the only one who's right.
I have a simpler explanation, and it doesn't involve erasing my sense of empathy. Those aspie relatives and coworkers swarming all around her? They probably aren't. Oh, they might well be, but regardless, they just don't like her. That's why they make no effort to not be rude, they really don't friggin' care because she's an obnoxious, condescending, critical, judgmental... ah, female dog. I told her that, too, but so far she hasn't bothered to reply to that part of my comment, other than to say she's not the critical one. Riiiiight. Not that everyone on that board is all sugary sweet, but she started it!

Incidentally, the award for "most clueless" goes to this poster. How she went past all the sites devoted to parents and those of the "curebie" attitude and ended up at http://www.aspergia.com/ I don't know.
