Minor complaint
May. 18th, 2004 05:46 pmI like Au Bon Pain. It's half price after 4, and they have THE BEST chocolate croissants. All their stuff is good, in fact.
However, I have to say this. Their croissants are NOT croissants. They're square pastries. The whole point of a croissant is that it's a... well... croissant, a crescent. They were invented as a way to celebrate defeating the Turks. Square shaped pastries are just substitutes for the real thing. Nothing wrong with being a square shaped pastry, but then that's what you should be called. *deep sigh* I'm going to whine about this off and on for the next fifty years. Please forgive me.
