conulythe entire nation of Kiribati is planning to relocate. The sea is taking over their low-lying islands.
You have to hand it to them. They're stuck with an untenable situation that they didn't cause (as always, poor people in impoverished countries are going to be affected first by climate change, despite largely not having the money to cause climate change) and they've come up with a good, well-reasoned plan.
1. Buy land.
2. Send the bright young adults first as emigrants.
3. Send the others in waves to avoid being despised refugees.
4. Hope that you don't have to do it all over again later.
It's a good plan. I can't even plan my meals this well.
