Why is it that the less people know, the more they talk about what they THINK they know?

Or, if it's understanding they grasp, the more they go on and on about what other people said, even if it's the opposite of what actually was said?

And why am I running into a whole slew of these people lately?

That type of person is called a "Think-they-know-it-all."

Well, they're damn annoying. (And they never fess up when they finally are backed into a place where they MUST admit they're wrong. Never, ever!)
