I need some recipes for Jerusalem artichokes (not at all like artichokes, oddly) and for black radishes. Something cooked for radishes would be good, as the nieces don't love salad.

Jerusalem artichokes cook pretty much the same way as potatoes, in my experience, so you might be able to adapt some of your potato recipes to use them (if you're able/willing to experiment a little; if not now, then plant a few of them and I swear you'll never run out of them again).

Jerusalem artichokes need to be treated with caution due to their effect on the digestive system (to put it tactfully).
I used to do them either roast, or microwave/boiled.
Here's the recipes supplied by the company who used to put them in my organic veg box

The last time I cooked sunchokes I peeled, sliced, and sauteed them with butter and salt and pepper until they browned around the edges. Yum.

Can't help you with black radishes, sorry.
