And of course this amusing one. I say "amusing", I don't really mean it. Apparently, in some places, owning your own land doesn't give you the right to plant a damn vegetable garden. And why? Because there are people in this world who insist on making up their own definitions of words.

That story about the vegetable garden -- there's something similar going on up-Island from me, near where my sister lives, in a place called Lantzville. A couple decided to make their backyard into a small urban farm, with crops and a few animals. Their neighbour objected. Their neighbour happens to have friends at City Hall. Suddenly the urban farmers got orders to shut down.
