The important part is that they have that option. It looks like at least some of the kids that go to that school could use some structure and consistency in their life that may not be available at home, which is good, too. (Disclaimer: I grew up poor and for some of the time with a single parent, so I can relate to what that is like. My comment isn't something borne out of "privilege" or whatever, but experience.)
