Now, let's see if the remaining bigots in the armed forces are really going to decide to act like petulant children instead of professionals.

Some will, of course. But many won't. The military has dealt with a great deal of integration already. I think it has handled racial integration fairly well, as best I've heard, although there still seems to be a lot of sexism. But I am not truly sure on either count, because it's not like I have good studies on the matter.

But I expect, as with most bigotry, people will get used to it and thus integration will help and the bigotry will decrease with time.
