Which I know you weren't, but that's okay, as I'm not getting anything for any of you either (and certainly not this year, the year that we're all actually poor)....

I have my yearly wishlist!

It's short.

1. The donation to the charity of your choice, so long as it's not one patently offensive. You can always get gifts for kids who write to Santa - apparently, a depressing number of letters this year are asking for needs instead of wants.

2. Books. I will take just about any book, used or new, particularly kids books. If you have used books to unload, I may even pay shipping. Or I may not. (If you're actually going to do this, do us both a favor and check with me first. I may have a copy already.)

2a. Bookcases, see above.

3. Jars. I actually need both very small jars (baby food or spice) and very large jars (gallon sized or more) for various purposes.

4. Somebody to re-up my DW account again. But I'll probably be able to swing that by next month :)

5. And both nieces, I'm sure, could use new (to them) bikes and roller skates. Actually, what they really want now are ice skates. We used to have a LOT of them, in all sizes, but we gave them away after a while. Ice skates are pricey, though. (Also, seriously, the quest to get Ana free gymnastics lessons continues... though it's been slowed by my unwillingness to call people if I can be distracted by anything at all. I would seriously love to death anybody who could chip in to get them lessons in anything. But that's, you know, about as likely as a million dollars falling into my lap. Still, if anybody has any ideas at all about where in the city they offer extremely low-cost gymnastics or dance lessons, or give generous scholarships, please let me know!)

So yeah, it's not a very long list :) The only one I take seriously up there is the charity one, that's why it's number 1 on the list.

How do you feel about science fiction and fantasy?

In that case, you may be getting a list of books the next time we cull a shelf (which I hope will be soon).

I would love to do the Santa letters thing, but can't figure out how to do it from Alabama.
