I have to say, I thought when I read this that maaaaaaybe the editorializing was going too far. I thought, you know, just because this is how you're inclined to think doesn't make them right. I thought, you know, some media is liberal in nature, it's good to be aware of your own biases. I thought, you know Connie, you should watch the video. Maybe it's not as bad as all that!

Just, uh... just go watch that video. "I feel safer knowing that I won't get blown up on the bus!" How many buses does he think are blown up every year to begin with? (Answer - probably close to zip zilch zero - and if I wanted to blow up a bus I wouldn't need a bomb. Buses come ready-made with their own potent explosive gasoline. Haven't you seen an action movie lately? Sure, it's not really car + bam = massive fireball, but all the same... I think there's easier ways to cause mass destruction than finding cleverer ways to hide a bomb in my boobs or something.)

And here, I was just thinking -- hoping -- that what I've heard about Greyhound terminals was just hyped-up hearsay. =/ This TSA nonsense needs to stop, like ASAP, because where will it end if it doesn't? The local transit authorities that are already so strapped for cash that they're cutting service for those of us dependent on public transportation?

(And LOL... the bit about hiding a bomb in your boobs made me think of that scene from Austin Powers, where the femmebots literally shot bullets from their... yeah. XD;; Hope that wasn't offensive, but that just amused me.)

It's intended to, of course. If we see all these precautions against terrorists, we feel as though there are lots of terrorists, and then we acquiesce to... this.

That is not how it makes me feel unsafe. It makes me feel trapped and vulnerable while the government turns against me. Like my escape routes are being closed off and I need to flee the country before it turns too bad like it did in Spain or Russia or Poland for my family in the past, because when it becomes obviously dangerous, then I won't be able to flee any more.

And I really, really don't want to move to Germany.
