There was a rally today (two rallies, really) about the "mosque" at the "WTC".

Where certain parties made racist and otherwise ignorant remarks, all to the blaring background of "Born in the U.S.A".

I've never been sure that song means what they think it means, but then, I'm not sure they really thought that one through at all, ever.

That song doesn't mean what they think it means. It's about a Vietnam vet having a really hard time adjusting to civilian life after the war and being discriminated against.

So yeah.

But maybe they do think it means that, and yet have somehow connected that to the issue at hand.

Truthfully, we're dealing with a group of people whose thought processes have never made sense to me at all. Unlike some folks, I still assume they *have* thought processes, anyway.
