It's called scotopic sensitivity or Irlen syndrome. I have a link down near the bottom of that thread. The main post is about synthesia, all very interesting.

I have to say that this post and the links within it weren't boring in any way. It was actually incredibly fascinating, as were the comments to your post on needing something to chew on, since I gnaw on the insides of my cheeks and lips, grind my teeth, and bite/clean my nails, etc.

To me it is just great getting to know how others experience their life and the world, and you are amazing at finding all these different viewpoints.
