Today is July FIFTH. Your fireworks, aside from being illegal, are much too loud for midnight. A lot of people on this block have kids who might not appreciate being woken up by those overly powerful explosions in the middle of the night. A lot of people on this block might intend to go to church tomorrow, and would like some rest. If this was a once a year thing, I'd ignore it, but you have a history of acting like five year olds in regards to your own noise levels. Knock it off, or I'm calling the cops. They actually care about things like illegal fireworks.

Here's hoping one of them sends themselves to the hospital with minor injuries....

Stupid people come out at night.

Last night, after I'd finished with the cats and was upstairs getting myself ready for bed - all lights off except for second floor - someone rang the doorbell.

Repeatedly.

I, being intelligent, ignored the doorbell, because the house is located near "druggie central" and because my father, kind man that he is, often gives money and/or rides to homeless people who come knocking. So goodness knows who was out there! I didn't even look.

I was woken up at 5.00 a.m. by the doorbell.

Probably the same idiots from 1.00 a.m.

If it happens again tonight, I will be calling the police, because this is stupid.

(Oh, and nobody here has any excuses for being loud in the middle of the night; Canada Day was on Wednesday, for crying out loud!)

Yes... and limiting the injuries only to themselves, because those things can really get out of hand. D: One year, Mom got burned by one of the kids' fireworks. She wasn't injured severely (she just treated it with ointment), but still... And of course, there's always the risk of fire and property damage... listening to some of them from outside my window right now, I'm worried that one of the firecrackers could go astray and blow up my building. ^^;;

Rule of parties: it's okay to have a party before the holiday, but having a party after the holiday makes you an ass. Same with explosives.
