Today is Parent-Teacher day!

conulyAna had a half day. I picked her up (late - I'd been baking cookies for the dratted bake sale... and then scraping off the burned bottoms! Don't tell!), we went to the ETG and had a bagel.
Then we went back to her school. Not because of any pressing need to speak to her teachers - they think, apparently, she's brilliant. That's what they said on the report card - but because Ana forgot her mittens. D'oh! (Very cute moose-tins, too!)
So I went, I saw her spare teacher, I confirmed there was nothing I urgently needed to do with Ana right after school, and I got her mittens. (We're not normally allowed in after the school is closed, so most of the time when she leaves her mittens she just has cold hands the next day.)
THEN she wanted me to meet her science teacher.
So! I waited and waited and WAITED and waited and waited and waited and waited.
And finally saw her science teacher... just in time for the bell to ring that afternoon parent teacher conferences were over.
So I graciously scooted myself out so that the remaining parent could talk to the woman. After all, Ana's parents are going this evening, and there's nothing that urgently needs to be said.
Came home, watched Mr. Rogers as a treat (I love Mr. Rogers. I wish they were selling them season by season on DVD, I'd pay for that!), and had some fun after.
