I lost my first tooth while brushing my teeth -- noticed it when I spat -- and had to scramble madly to keep it from going down the sink.

Then there was the day I lost two at once. The lesson: fighting with one's siblings can indeed have positive consequences.

My family initially tried the Tooth Fairy thing, but as it happened I was to stay at my grandmother's house the night I lost my first tooth. She was not a spry woman and the house had creaky floors, so I woke up during the exchange. I told my parents about it the next day and we dropped the pretense - though I don't think I was actually surprised to know the truth. My sister was five years older than I was, so there wasn't much illusion left.

I don't remember losing my first; I'd have to ask my mom. My last 2 baby teeth were extracted when I was 13 (I put 12 on the poll because you didn't have "13"). I went in to the dentist to get braces, and the baby teeth were still attached, but the new teeth were already partially in underneath. The dentist said he would have to pull my baby teeth and I was really upset. He said, "okay, well if you pull them before I get back, then I don't have to." He walked out of the office, I tore my teeth out, and when he walked back in, I held them out to him in my hand. He about hit the floor he was so surprised. Haha!

I don't remember ages. I put it under my pillow and woke up to stuff. Often money, but once it was 3 books in the Oz series, which I was totally into at that point, which was awesome. I mainly remember knowing my parents left stuff while I slept, but the story was the tooth fairy.

I lost my first at the dentist, I fell on some concrete stairs when I was two and it turned grey. It was pulled by the dentist when I was four, since the tooth was dead. So, I picked 4. I lost my first tooth by natural causes when I was six.
