(Of course, soy sauce in packets often isn't, but that's beside the point.)

So I can be forgiven for only realizing just now the hidden gem in rising grain (including corn) prices....

Less high fructose corn syrup all over the place!

Seriously, once you get out of the habit of eating lots of foods with that, it tastes really obvious and disgusting. And it sneaks in a lot of places, too.

I hope so. Right now I'm just seeing increased prices in such items (pop, for example).

Connie:

While using the great oracle (google) to search for Walloon resources I ran across a post from you. I am curious, did you ever locate any Walloon learning resources in French or English? I am not interested in the common or standard Walloon, but Walloon from a particular region of Wallonia, e.g. Western or Central.

People don't believe me when I say this.

They look at me funny when I tell them that Kellogg products especially taste like high fructose corn syrup.

Connie, they'll just replace it with another cheap fake flavoring and you know it.

I think artificial sweeteners are far worse, aspartame in particular. It tastes vile. On the other hand, I don't think high fructose corn syrup has been much in my diet.
