All caught up on Torchwood

All I can say now is wow. So much of the last season makes a heck of a lot more sense now.

Now I just have to watch BSG. I was so tired last night that I decided to just fall asleep, I wouldn't enjoy it.

The question is, will the upcoming season of Doctor Who in some way affect the third season of Torchwood, and what will that third season be like, irrespective of Doctor who? I don't fancy speculations of recycling the Doctor's companions into Torchwood, that seems a rather boring idea to me. Will we see more miraculous non-departures? I hope not, even if I do like all the Torchwood cast. New additions are going to be interesting.
