If you have friends who don't use lj-cuts on images, or if your favorite communities have been spammed by the bandwidth theives, you can block all, medium, or large images. The instructions are here.

Also, if you happen to care, you can ban people from your friends-of list by banning them. The instructions are in the FAQ.
