1. First off, let me just say that nosebleeding is not inevitably fatal. In contrast to 99.999% of all TV and movie incidences, a full 100% of my (many) nosebleeds over my life have proved not to kill me. In fact, Evangeline's nose bled yesterday, and other than Angelique screaming "CONNIE! COME QUICK! SHE HAS BLOOOOOOOD!!!!!" and freaking everybody else out, it was incredibly uneventful. All I did was wipe it and ask her to blow. Problem solved, and her face was cleaner.
So, Sayid? Nobody's told you that time jumping can lead to death. When you see blood trickling out of this guy's nose, just pass him a tissue, don't stare. It's the polite thing to do.
2. Why didn't... uh... professor guy remember precisely the details? Why did he look it up in the journal, and the bit about the anchor? Has Desmond's little adventure always happened, or did it only just now have always happened, and only by luck and pluck was professor guy able to recognize this? And does this mean that the other flashbacks (and forwards) are also kinda dependent on island goings on as well?
3. Geez, Desmond (and Penny). Pining away for eight years with no contact? BOTH of you? Really?

Date: 2008-02-29 04:26 am (UTC)And as always with time travel, you can never quite figure out the paradox. The professor should have remembered because Desmond found him in the past, but Desmond wouldn't have found him had they not met in the future and he told Desmond to find him in the past to help him in the future... It never makes 100% sense.
