A nail gun was used.
What's funny is that I remember reading a murder mystery once where it was established that the nail gun could *not* have been the primary weapon, because nobody is going to stand still while you hold one to your head - and they can't be used as projectile weapons, they shut off.
Now, who's right?
I asked Wikipedia.
And Wikipedia, if it's at all accurate (and this is the sort of thing it seems accurate with), says that for safety reasons, nail guns are indeed designed in such a way that they cannot be used as projectile weapons.
Well, duh. After all, they're not gun guns.

Date: 2008-02-05 01:56 pm (UTC)I don't know-- it was a poor choice of weapon anyway, in my opinion. Soooo many better things at hand.
On the other hand, I loved the use of Spanish throughout the episode, and I was sorry that I missed the Spanish broadcast on telemundo later that night. Had I not recorded it on my DVR and watched it after the broadcast, I would have recorded it in Spanish to watch the two in tandem. I love when USA does stuff like that (like the black-and-white Monk episode).
