The actual paper has a picture of Angelique, even! Her hair's a mess in it, she'd unbraided half her head (I stopped her before she got to the other half), but, whatever. She's cute no matter what.
I'll note that my Bonpapa did not actually make latkes. He made, instead, potato pancakes. I mean, that's what he called them. It's the same thing, but.
And the kids didn't give it a thumbs up. They were too busy eating and kicking each other under the table and being shy to respond when we all tried to make them say something, anything for the nice reporter who was going to put them in the paper.
