Moral of today's Heroes?

Everybody is fucking stupid.
In any situation, each and every one of them is guaranteed to make the worst choice possible.
Let's recap:
Hiro? Stupid. Why go to today to steal the virus? Stupid! Go to 29 years ago to steal the virus! Or a day earlier than Adam's attempt, and leave a dummy in its place. You travel through time - why not pick a good one?
And don't talk to me about changing history. Please. Finding out about the past through time travel is already changing history, and when you use that to make new decisions about the present....
Peter? Stupid. Look, I know your new friend talked a good talk about "we could save the world", but when he says he's the good guy, and everybody else says he's the bad guy, somebody is lying. You could at least hear them out instead of just assuming Adam's in the right because they locked him up and he said it first. (This does not, of course, mean *anybody* is the good guy.)
Edit: I was reminded - Peter can read minds! Why doesn't he just read Adam's mind to see if he really is trustworthy? "Hey, Adam, by "save the world" do you really mean what I think you mean? Yes or no?" or "Hey, Adam, are you evil, or are they?" or "Adam, what *exactly* do you plan to do with this virus?" Just ask and all shall be revealed by their thoughts.
Admittedly, it is possible that Adam has learned to resist it, much like other Older Heroes. He is quite old, after all. But why not ask somebody else. "Hi, Hiro. Why are you killing Adam? Before you kill me, that is?" or "Gee, lady. Adam said you're the bad guy. Think your opinion REALLY LOUD, now!"
Gah. The writers were clearly just waiting for the strike.
Claire? Stupid. Do not announce your plan to share the good news with the world! Just go ahead and do it! Stupid! Why are you giving them time to find a counterattack... or perform some kind of pre-emptive strike?
Mohinder? I have no words to describe Mohinder. At least he's consistent. Consistently stupid, that is. With bad taste in (stupid) babysitters.
Alejandro? Stupid. Don't show up at a murderer's door without backup. Ever. And always leave some sort of prominent clue so that if you get killed (as you certainly will), your relatives at least know you to be dead.
Kid whose name I forget? No words for him, either. Bad kid. No cookie.
People in general? Stupid! Have any of you ever heard of explaining why you're about to chop/shoot/eat somebody's head off? Instead of just going ahead and doing it? I can't help but think that this might, just maybe, be a good idea.
The Company? Stupid! MAKE. BETTER. PRISON. CELLS. DUH.
At this point, I do believe that I've covered every major character in this episode. I'll give a special mention to Elle (non-spoilery) in that she really ought to think of the logistics of driving around with a cast on her arm before she tries doing it while drinking a soda. But that's only clumsiness of the minor sort, and is unlikely to result in any deaths.
