Silly child...
Sep. 25th, 2007 12:35 amToday, Evangeline left the grass in the park, and started to walk around outside of where she's allowed to be. Because of luck, or else my own superior child-minding skills, I've got two little nieces who have some idea of "stay in this area", so this wasn't just an accident.
I, naturally, hopped out behind her. "Evangeline. Back on the grass." Evangeline, I am sad to say, totally ignored me. "Evangeline. Do you want to go up?" All of a sudden, a miracle! Her sudden deafness had been cured, and back on the grass she went! I seriously almost laughed* at that point (don't want to encourage her), because her (literal) turnaround was so sudden, and she did it without acknowledging at all that I'd been the prompt.
*Yes, it takes very little to amuse me. I need a hobby again.
