My last post reminded me of Dr. Seuss, whose birthday was just this week...

He was really very political, wasn't he? I mean, people don't think of that, they think "kid's books, kid's stuff" but that's not true. Think of the Lorax, and The Butter Battle Book. Or, better yet, think of his political cartoons.

Some of these, though they're from WWII, are really appropriate for today, I think.

What's interesting is that, despite the blatant subject matter, it all still LOOKS like Dr. Seuss. I mean, right down to some of the characters!

Yeah, Dr. Suess. My school semi-celebrated it, who knows why. Yeah, so our new principal came and read to us. Boy, she was a little OVERLY ethustastic. Same with my homeroom teacher. They made 'green eggs and ham'. They took mini bagels, made scrambled eggs and added dye and a peice of ham, and vwalah. Too bad I don't like eggs nor eat ham/meat. Oh well

Well, yeah. Eggs, I just find those disgusting. And meat, I've become a vegetarian.. who knows how long it'll last, but that's alright.
