Elise is doing Romeo and Juliet for a drama class.

I, for one, cannot imagine why they do that with teenagers. Seriously. In the 8th grade, we did Julius Caesar, which... well, maybe that wasn't a better choice, but nobody felt weird about it, anyway.

The teacher is apparently taking this opportunity to spend the very first week of class, first time with these students, watching the movie. I can see that. But it makes conversation here a bit difficult. Apparently, Leonardo DiCaprio is "cute".

Well, I can see that too. That's exactly what various classmates told *me* in the 9th grade. I now effectively feel old. I'm 24. That's far too young to feel old, no matter which scale you view things on.

It really weirds me out, anyway.

(Also, the first time I saw Measure for Measure performed, I was 18, but paid more attention to the sexy Irish accent of the guy who played the Duke.)

Maybe I've just (unfortunately) seen one too many sitcoms. (And yes, one probably *is* too many, I know.)
