I swear, we can set our clocks by these stages....
Today, we were sitting and eating raisins, just the three of us. And the baby wanted more, but she signed "cup" instead. Well, I guessed what she meant, so I said "You want more?" and she changed her sign.
This sets Ana off into saying how "more" looks like "ball", and how can I tell - so I explained to her that when the baby starts really speaking, at first she'll say "ba" for book, and "ba" for ball, and "ba" for bear, and we'll understand her anyway.
I guess this tickled Ana's fancy, because she picks other words that "ba" might mean - "Ba for car! And ba for cup! And ba for Connies! And ba for Mommies! And ba for Daddies! And ba for... parents! And ba for... VAGINAS!!!" *gigglegigglegiggle*
No sooner was she done with that when a new, even funnier thought struck - "And ba for... BUTT!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!"
Yup. She's three, all right. Like I said, you can positively set your watch by this child.
(Okay, I giggled too, and so did everybody I told this story too. It was pretty funny.)
