When good quotes.... go bad!

Wednesdays and Fridays I take Su to the SICM for the toddler program. I watch her a couple of hours (with two bathroom breaks, and sometimes lunch), and in exchange, I get a ride to and from the museum, and they pay the fees for the program for me.

We take the same route to get there, every time. Pass right by a church. Church has a billboard. Billboard says, and I quote:

Spreading the "Good" News!

Every time, I crack up laughing. "Good" news indeed.

what is funny about the quote? Maybe it is the lack of sleep...but I just don't get it.

It's their totally gratuitous use of quotes. Normally, the church should say they "spread the good news". They say that they spread the "good" news, and the use of quotes implies that they themselves don't think of the news as all that good after all

Ahhh....now I get it. So, it was just the lack of sleep that was causing the temporary lack of brains. :)
