Ana's got an ear infection.
Oct. 11th, 2006 07:22 pmTwo ear infections.
Had to rush her to the doctor today, poor dear. (And then they had lunch late, and naps late, and everybody was miserable. Poor ME!)
She got a prescription for antibiotics, but I don't know if they're going to fill it, most ear infections clear up without help. But it's good to have the prescription, so we don't have to rush to the doctor again if it's decided that no, this one needs medication to treat.
The day wasn't *all* bad. I got to help somebody with their wrap (well, the person wasn't there, but her husband was, so I showed him how you'd put it on for a cradle hold, and directed him to a few websites), and that's always fun. And helpful. I like to be helpful, within reason - and being *asked* for help is definitely within reason :)
But really, between the ear infection and the baby being sick (recovering, unlike Ana was), and ME being sick, and the rain, and the plane crash... not a great day.

I'm not a doctor, and I'm not Ana's guardian, and it's not a subject I know *that* much about, so I'm afraid that's about all the advice I'm qualified to give. I'm sorry.

This might not be a result of the chronic ear infections, I don't know - but I do believe she is one of the kids who could have benefitted from shunts in her ears (she tends to disagree, if I recall our last fight on it!), and she didn't, to my knowledge, get them.
