I missed BSG, but I did watch Lost....

And now I'm more confused than ever. I made the mistake of watching it while not under the influence of anything, and wide awake. Silly me.

Why were you confused? The only thing I kept wondering about was why they weren't showing us Hurley at all. No one even mentioned him.

1. Who the hell moves to a tropical paradise in the middle of nowhere and builds a suburb? There's no urb! Why would you want a suburb with no urb? The whole point of a suburb is that you can retreat to the urb when it becomes overwhelming.

2. How do they spend their days? Do they psychotically torment random losties, or do they have book clubs? How do they manage both parts of their lives?

3. Why scream "We'll all die! We'll all die!" when "Look, we're underwater, and we'll drown if you open it", said in a calm tone of voice, is far more reasonable and useful?

4. What's with forcing prisoners to apologise like five year olds?

5. Why Kate, again? And the dress? How stupid *is* she, anyway? I would so not have taken a shower there, certainly not without bringing my clothes with me. Hidden cameras, ew.

6. Why are the Others batshit insane?

7. How isolated are they? Where the heck are they getting their information from? How much information do they really have?

8. Why no Hurley?

9. Why the huge rat cages? I mean, *why*?

It's true these are all very confusing things. But the show has consistently been so wacky, that I guess I just don't even notice. :/

i read this post right after your one about the knife sharpening man, and didn't read this post's subject (as usual). i was wondering why you'd mention that you watched someone sharpen a knife without being under the influence of anything, and why it would be confusing. i'm such a dork!
