Wow.

This is where she is right now.
And here, another link.

For the curious, two different "milestone charts" from the same sites:

One
Two

1. She definitely waves "hi" and "bye", even sometimes without being waved to first. And she's really working on the "blowing kisses" thing - she'll bring her hand up to her mouth, hold it there, and then fling it into the great beyond. Alternatively, she'll then bring that hand up to *my* mouth.

2. She definitely understands her name, and "no". No makes her cry when she listens to it. I can just see her thinking "Understanding this language stuff was supposed to make life easier!!!!" She also understands "give me", which is a fun game for her, though sometimes she realizes belatedly that she didn't *really* want to give me the fascinating choking hazard she had wanted to stick in her mouth.

3. She doesn't say "Mama" or "Dada", but she does go "Nanananana!" at her sister.

4. If I go "lalalala" or "yayaya" or "Bababababa" at her, she'll repeat it. That's always fun.

5. She's started looking all around when she hears something she can't see. That's nifty and cool.

6. She loves books, and will crawl all the way across the floor when I hold one up and ask her if she wants to read it. Of course, she does that when I bribe her with a clean sock to eat as well, so I don't know what that proves.

7. She can definitely crawl up stairs now. I don't like this. She's also cruising. I don't like this either.

8. She's all about dropping things into containers, and taking them out. And in. And out. And in. And out. Hey, it keeps her busy.

9. If we put her sitting on the bed, she loves to flop down, roll around, and giggle. She doesn't do this anywhere else.

10. She clearly does sign "milk" (usually with prompting), and something which I'm pretty sure is meant to be "tickle". When you add "waving" to that list, this baby is a communicating fiend!

11. She's working on sitting down from standing without just plopping down - sometimes she gets it, other times she doesn't.

Yup. That's the baby. I need an icon for just her, and I'm hoping to get a modification of the icon with both niecelings together.

Oh, and before I forget, I cannot believe I neglected to mention Christopher Thomas Paul's birthday (in fairness, it's not just that I dislike the name Topher - I really think Christopher Thomas Paul is a fun set of names to say aloud). Happy birthday, and to Libbet, and to 'dul, and to my mom, and to anybody else with a birthday within 35 days from this date.
