1. Yesterday, we all spent the day with Deniz and co. Jenn and I were flagged to childwatch while the "adults" cleaned house. Hey, fine with me.
During breakfast, Ana had a butterknife, Su had a butterknife, and Deniz' butterknife had long since been confiscated due to her carelessness. Naturally, as Deniz is four, this meant it was time to whine. She wanted a knife. Boy, did she ever. But we didn't have a spare knife to give her.
A half minute into this, Ana looks around and offers her friend her knife. Very spontaneously.
Of course, Deniz didn't want that knife, but it's the thought that counts.
Later that day, on our way home from the zoo, Deniz lost her flattened penny in the car. Without blinking, Ana goes "Here, Deniz, you can share my penny, okay?"
That girl is too sweet :)
2. We were out walking during breakfast (young children function better in restaurants if they're allowed to leave), and we end up near Deniz' friend Jonathon's house. This prompts the remembrance from Deniz:
Look! There's Jonathon's house! Remember, Ana, you went there once? And we called you a baby. Yeah. I don't call you a baby when it's just you, you're my friend.
Deniz had been a horrible brat on that day, but I think it's just a four year old thing. She'll outgrow it, I hope.
And one more, which really *is* stimmy.
Today, we were at Hoppin' John's for breakfast. Brunch. Whatever.
They have ceiling fans. Ana had noticed the fans were on, and then spent a minute or so watching the fans and playing "let's open my hands and close them in front of my face". Until her dad started playing a game with her.
I should've taken a picture. It was truly cute. Never seen her doing that before.
