Does anybody use that word? I've never heard it outside my family.

Closest thing I've seen is the program Konfabulator, which my boyfriend does work for at Yahoo.. It was renamed recently though. :\

Here. My dad used to hold what he called "bullshit sessions" with his fellow soldiers before I was born; it got changed, at my mom's insistence, to "confab sessions" due to Tender Young Ears.

I hadn't really realized that most people *didn't* use it until today, since I grew up with everyone using it.

It's hard for me to lock down precisely if I've heard it...I'm pretty certain people at work (in NYC) have used it, but as someone below said, I never realized other people *don't* use it, so now I'm unsure if maybe my memory is faulty! :-D
