Please remain calm.

Everyone still here?

Good. Let's review the use of "I" versus "me".

I is used in the subject.

I go to the store. I want dinner. I am brilliant. I, I, I, it's what we're talking about.

Me is used in the object.

The store is too crowded for me. Give me my dinner. Stop calling me boastful. Me, me, me, no clever catchphrase here.

Some people have the mistaken idea that when you add another person, you have to say I. That is wrong and will send your soul to the fiery pits of perdition if you don't knock it off.

If I go to the store, then when my sister comes along I say: Jenn and I go to the store. If, while at the store, the line is horrendous, then the store is too crowded for my sister and me.

When I want my dinner, and my mom is also hungry, my mom and I want to eat. When we get our dinner, you gave food to my mom and me.

If I think I'm brilliant, and I think my cat is too, then my cat and I are brilliant. If you think I show off too much, then you are calling my cat and me boastful.

*pantpantpant* Everyone clear on that? I don't want to have to start smiting over here!

While we're on the subject, LINKY TIME!
