1. Crayons, markers, colored pencils (Have, but could always use more)
2. Paint brushes (HAVE!)
3. Paper (HAVE!)
4. Glue (HAVE!)
5. Playdough tools (HAVE!)
6. Collage stuff - feathers, packing peanuts, colored wood shavings, foam cutouts, stickers, that sort of thing. (Have, but could use more variety)
7. Smocks (HAVE!)
8. Some sort of large table/floor covering that they can work on. (HAVE!)
9. Safety scissors (HAVE!)

Music

1. Music for Aardvarks. I especially like number 3 (a song about the Boat? I'm there), and 9.
2. Things Ana's heard (and liked) in her toddler programs: These two.

And this one.

And this one.

(Much though I try not to follow trends, some trends are apparently good in and of themselves, because you find yourself humming their damnable songs all day long and not going completely insane.)

Some French music:

Zydeco
Not Zydeco.

Printed stuff

1. Ladybug
2. Wild Animal Baby
3. Click
4. Babybug

Books
5. Mother Goose
6. Read-Aloud poems.
7. Cautionary Tales
8. The following specific Boynton books: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H.
9. The following specific Seuss books: Oh, nevermind, just ask me if you wanna get Seuss, cuz we have some of his stuff already.
10. The following books they're really not ready for yet: Peter Rabbit, Curious George, Madeline, Babar, Eloise, Lyle! The Complete Winnie the Pooh, My Father's Dragon.
11. The following "few-words" books: Good Dog, Carl, Hug, The Snowman.
12. The following abecedarians: Eating the Alphabet, Museum ABC, I Spy.
13. Art type books: Picasso, Cassatt, Seurat, Renoir, Monet, Matisse, Museum 123.
15. The following classics: The Runaway Bunny, The Important Book, Corduroy, Put Me in the Zoo, Outside Over There, Where's My Teddy.
16. The following series, including some I found at amazon.co.uk (opinions needed for Brit-books): Harry and the Dinosaurs, Kipper, Little Critter, Clifford, Spot, Biscuit, Wibbly Pig, Brambly Hedge, Uncle Wiggily.

And, of course, will love books in French, such as the Martine books and the Clovis Crawfish books, and, yes, Babar in French (which is how I learned it).

That's a long list, and it would've been longer. Only reason I even *made* a list is so that if anybody wants to buy a book, they don't buy one we already have. Might be better to ask. I'd love to get Ana et al. some books popular in other English-speaking countries that aren't so well-known here, and am always open to suggestions. Oh, and will also take any "one-word" books, y'know, with pictures, for babies? Ana especially liked the "Baby Faces" books, but they're all... overloved by now.

Toys

1. Any of the Little People toys. You can get some of them for $3, so that's not too bad.
2. Any sort of dress-up stuff - doctor kits, masks, firefighter hats, you get the idea.
3. Any sort of toy *cleaning* set. Just trust me.... Or any toy "real life" set at all - toy cookware, toy food, that sort of thing.
4. Any form of wooden train set, y'know, where the trains connect to each other with hooks or magnets.
5. Wooden blocks of any sort, especially: these, and these. Also these, which aren't wood.
6. This shape sorter.
7. Megablocks, and the stuff that goes with 'em. (Like Legos, but not a choking hazard)
8. A trike, a wagon, a hobby-horse, that sort of outdoor toy
9. Any sort of stacking or nesting toy, like this, this, this, or this.
10. Those beads you push together, then pull apart.
11. Folding up tunnels, tents, that sort of thing.
12. These.
13. Painted wooden blocks are as good as unpainted.
15. Peg puzzles like this one. Or this one. Or this one.
16. This. 17. The coolest toy ever.
18. This sort of bath toy.
19. The latches truck.

And, of course, will accept tons of used toys not on the list, so long as they're not stuffed animals. We're full up on those.

Will also accept nothing, if that's what we can get. I'd be, frankly, a bit shocked if I got anything from this.

Some sites (with more toys!) that you may find interesting:

Sites you may be interested in

Haba
It's their "fit together" blocks I was talking about.

Gummy Lump
I especially like their collection of blocks and puzzles.

Turner Toys
I especially like their skyscrapers
I'm also falling in love with Rainbow Blocks. On other sites, they have rainbow water blocks, or sand blocks, or crystal blocks. Not in love with the price, though....

Moolka.com
Especially like the Jumping Jacks.

Oompa Toys
I especially like their selection of Haba wooden foods (no link, sorry)
I also like their toy figures, mostly by Holztiger (still no link)
These overpriced but REALLY COOL tree blocks
This stacking game
All these blocks (why not?)

Wooden You Know
Especially like wooden "Lincoln Logs"

Rosie Hippo
Especially like these arches
And this bead toy
This boat (and related bus)
The Jacob's Ladder
Cars...
All their wooden cookware stuff, though plastic'd be just as useful and cheaper.
This threading block
And this kaleidoscope. Incidentally, the ones *without* beads and whatnot, where you just view the world funny, are teleidoscopes.

Unique Wooden Toys
I WANT THESE BLOCKS! Not as a gift, that'd be absurd, but I'm going to start putting money away to buy them.
They have a smaller (cheaper) set of Tree Blocks I may buy
And this hoop toy.

Back to Basics
Especially like the bamboo

Willow Tree Toys
Especially like this puzzle (can get at amazon)
This spinning toy (better than "new" sit 'n spins....)

Toys from Time Past
Especially like the top
And the saw toy
AND A HOOP AND STICK TOY! Pricier, though.

Orvis
Especially like this puzzle.

Our Greenhouse
Especially like the fire blocks
And this awesome puzzle.

I could probably find something around here that you might not have. The author that comes to mind immediately is Margaret Mahy. But I'm sure we have a few more :)

I have a fold up tunnel I mistakenly bought instead of a tent. Quinn already has one.
Hmm.. Wonder how much postage would be...

It shouldn't be too much. Especially if I send it surface but then it may be late for Christmas. Still, I used to like getting late ones in the mail.
