It's already opened, but that was, like, the fake opening or something.
It's a nice spot, really, and I have to go to support them - I'm really happy about the way our neighborhood is building up. Partly, this is because it's cool to be living in an area that really is just a bit artsy, just a bit rainbow colored. Mostly, though, it's because the biggest sign of this, the Popular Location (name changed), is a great way to provide directions.
See, when we first moved into our house, it took my sister and me several hours to get to the house because the car service guy drove *all around the island* looking for our street. After my father died, and we were getting flowers, we'd get calls from irritated delivery men saying things like "I've lived on Staten Island my whole life, and your street doesn't exist!"
Yeah.
If we ever had to take car service, or have somebody drive us anywhere, we'd resign ourselves to explaining several times where, exactly, our street is.
Now, we can just say "By the Popular Location!" and get taken right there. It's amazing. I love it.
Of course, I keep forgetting I can do this, so I start off "It's behind that church! Between these two streets! No, not those stre... Just take me to the Popular Location."
