I know it's a hymn (*cringe*) but this (http://www.bensfriends.com/sycamore/archives/003735.html) is one of the songs I learnt in Primary School and have never forgotten. It's more generic-fantasyish than blatantly religious, and it's just... nice. Not really very excting, but a little old fashioned and sort of childhood-comforting.

For my exams I'm memorising John Donne, which I like quite a lot, though it is, of course, quite old language. And with poems from the 17th century I personally always need the whole thing explained to me before I understand ti.

Baked apples are a simple and egg-less (and seasonal!) food Ana could help make. There are a gazillion different variations, but most bascially just tell you to core and peel the apples and then to stuff the centers with a mixture of nuts and rasins and butter and brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. :)

Personally, I've always found Lewis Caroll poems rather easy to memorize.
