Well, aren't most marathon runners, etc., stringy, lean, gaunt creatures that don't get up to 200 lbs? (Just a thought)
Hmm... my weight last year at the Portland Marathon was 195, and I stopped losing any weight about 2 months into training. So. No. They're not all stringy gaunt creatures.
In fact, at the Portland, as in many such events, there was a "Bonnie and Clydesdale" division for plus-sized men and women, to acknowledge the extra challenge that running 26 miles with an extra 70 lbs. of fat can be.
