I really don't understand the anti-breast feeding fuss. What possible more appropriate location is there to breastfeed a child than an eating establishment? You're eating, other people are eating, the child is eating.

Frankly, the presence of young children where I'm eating tends to spoil my dinner anyhow, because I'm just waiting for one to start screaming or running around or throwing things or emitting inconvenient bodily fluids, and I'm just waiting for the parents to either ignore it or may 'aww, isn't that cute' noises while their spawn act like untamed, disease animals.

Possibly working in a restaurant and having to clean up after those kind of people has made me bitter. (My parents were far from exemplary -- really, they should both have been in jail by the time I was five -- but even they had enough shame not to take me or my sister out like that until we could behave indoors, and not to encourage us when we didn't.)

But not wanting breastfeeding in a restaurant sounds more like it's about "OMG I CANNOT SEE TEH TITTEHS MY EYEEEEEEES!" than it is about "take that kid elsewhere, please." Seriously, people. They're breasts. Nipples. Mammary glands. We all got up close and personal to them for at least the first few days of life. You'd think we'd've gotten over the novelty back then.
