Half my face is numb. If anything, it's *more* numb now than it was then! Is this normal? Shouldn't it be denumbing by now?

Hmm...perhaps all you're feeling is the actual, er, "de-numbing," and thus your heightened sensations make it seem as though it's getting number.

...? Good luck!

feelin' wierd today

If this goes on, you'll turn into a numbskull, and your days will by numbered. What did they freeze you with, laudanumb?
...
OK, I may be done.

*looks around*

.....

That happened to me, too. I think they just don't give it time to kick in fully before starting in on you.

Yeah, I was always told not to eat anthing I'd even remotely have to chew for a while...not necessarily because of new fillings but because I'd chomp my cheeks all to bloody heck.

It takes too long to kick in effectively and too long to go away. :-p

If it's still rather numb TOMORROW, then there's a problem.

Wouldn't worry about it. When I got my teeth pulled, I was numb for like four hrs.

Hey, would now be a good time to call? ;)

Why did I think your name was Conruly?

[Shudders in fear at the mention of things dentist-related]

How was your numbing agent given? I had to get two molars removed (the buggers cracked in my jaw because of the new molars beneath them), and I got the OMG needle-as-long-as-my-pinkie-and-as-big-around-as-a-coffee-stirrer (you think those things are little until you see a needle that big. HORROR.) jammed into the back part of my jaw. I almost kicked the crap out of the dentist, but instead, I just made funny noises and whined.

...He said I was awesome because I didn't do anything to him.

Amusingly, by complete coincidence this entry ended up directly above someone else's dentistry-related entry on my Friends page...

The numbness wore off too early for me when I got almost all of my adult teeth capped (I swung around on this pair on metal parallel bars in the playground at primary school, no pain, lots of black dots flashing in front of my eyes). I was lying on the table and the dentist was using sandpaper to create a gap between the teeth, and there was this terrible amount of pain on my gum when the anaesthetic qore off and I could feel it.

*giggles* My dentist had screwed up teeth ^^
