So, why is it that Yoshi isn't allowed in castles and ghost houses?

Hasn't he been house-broken yet?

And why don't the red and blue boxes do anything? At the very least, red could always give you a flower. Maybe blue could... um... give you a few extra seconds?

And is it just me, or does Mario World not have goombas? I miss my little walking mushrooms!

On that note, in the first Mario game, weren't the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom turned into bricks and monsters? So doesn't that mean that Mario was killing off Princess Toadstool's subjects?

And why did they change her name to Peach?

And who, exactly, is the mom of Bowser's kids? Wouldn't she object to Bowser's attempts at an interspecies relationship?

And why are Bowser's kids so spoiled? Castles, flying ships, magic wands, minions.... Seriously, isn't he worried that they'll try to off him with all this equipment?

Heh, yeah. For the longest time, I thought they were some weird sort of dud Bob-Omb... they don't even behave like the Goombas in the original SMB games.

i have some of the old manga released just as super mario world was making its debut in japan and it turns out that yoshi doesnt go in the ghost houses because he is afraid of the ghosts. thats what we translated in japanese class anyway, lol.

Maybe they changed her name to Peach after the character of Toadstool was created. Hmmm...is that even his name, though? It's been so long! Anyways, they probably didn't want people thinking that she was called "Princess Toadstool" because she was married to him.

He's always been Toadstool, though.

Right. I thought, though, that he was created after the Princess, which might have led to the name change because they didn't want players linking him to her romantically. I thought he didn't show up until #2, but I could be mistaken.

toadstool and peach are different princesses, according to the show. i asked chris the same thing, my dear. and did you notice it is never Luigi who beat the castle? it's always mario. yep. drives chris nuts since he is always luigi, and he always landed on the casteles.
