Everyone knows naked bodies are dangerous! Naked children's bodies are worse! Why what if a child saw them? This is why all children are required to wear blindfolds while they bathe. That way they won't be traumatized. I think we should extend this and just require children to wear blindfolds all the time. Then they get protected, and adults can continue to live in th ereal world.

A non-leather option is nice. At the very least becuase leather car interiors are overrated. But whether or not it will save the lives of any cows is always hard to say. Unless the cows are being killed solely for the skin or primarily for the skin, they may still be killed for their other uses.

there are a few things I'll go batshit insane, frothing-at-the-mouth over.

-Wearing seatbelts. even as I type this, I can feel my bloodpressure going up. also, hard not to put in the adjective 'fucking'.

-not respecting people's differences. Orentation, Religion, recreation choices, whatever. also, the words 'gay' and 'faggot' used for so totally wrong purposes.

and this one, which is revelent:
-Messing with art. I don't care how much you hate the piece, I don't care how offencive you find it, it's A: not yours, and B: art. I may not get some of these art-things, but Aoskar in the Astral, it's /not yours/. Petition. Protest (with signs and walkings and letters). speak out. but PLEASE, PLEASE don't MANGLE it. maybe I'd see it, and have an epiphany! I dunno! You dunno! Don't Touch It!

note: all yous are general ones, nonspecific to anyone in the thread. unless, off course, you donnae wear your seatbelt, call people/things gay and/or faggots, and like to break art.

I'm an what one might call concerned [and confused] for the Stateside society's apparent lack of understanding about censorship laws when it comes to sex/nudity and violence.

What exactly is wrong with a human body? Okay, I can totally see why they don't want people going to work nude, or shopping nude and so on. The human body isn't always beautiful. Hell, sometimes it's downright nauseating. But it's not hurtful to anyone.
But complaining over something so banal as a statue they don't even have to be in the same suburb as? Stupid.
The confusing part is that apparently female nudity and bigger breasts is a Big Important Thing™ for Statesiders.

And then you get the total opposite with violence. Hollywood shows that if it doesn't blow up bigger than last time, it's not worth your while.
To my mind, violence is a bigger threat to society than a little sex and nudity. In fact, sex and nudity could [usually] be classed as healthy. But when you throw violence [which is never healthy] into the mix things just go all pear-shaped ...
At least with sex you can teach control. Violence is part of an emotion that is near impossible to control.

Mind you, it's not just Stateside, much of Western society [especially .english speaking Western society] is the same, but it's worst over there.

Yay for mercedes!

I saw an article saying that they're using Dennis Rodman in a new naked anti-fur ad. I like the slogan on it (something about appreciating your own body and letting animals have theirs...not the part of the ad that basically says ink > mink)

I think I've even spoken to the infamous Jypsy.

Is that good, or bad?

As for Friday, maybe. You interested in a spot of grocery shopping with me? Also, are you having dinner w/ us tomorrow night?
