[livejournal.com profile] mortaine is respectfully asking for help understanding autism/asperger's/all things spectrum for a role playing thingy. So I agreed to direct youse guys there who want to help.

In other news, I have only one less support point than she does. Yay!

In other other news, I've just added you. (In case you don't know who I am [I try to delude myself into thinking I maintain a low profile...] I'm a g/unk I1.)

And we're gonna be NEIGHBORS!!

It looks increasingly as though I'll be living on SI when I move. (Leaving Calif Feb 21.)

I'm negotiating on two places, both (so they tell me) within a few minutes walk to the St. George Ferry Station. I don't have addresses yet. Is the area near the ferry nice and safe and somewhere I'd want to live?

No street names yet, but one is in Stapleton (the one I'm not too thrilled with) and the other I have no clue except it's on the island, near the ferry.

I can be very dense, sometimes.

The place in Stapleton is above this storefront: http://stonestreetpress.com/

The bookseller lives in the basement and I'd be on the second floor (it's apparently an attic being renovated...) and it doesn't yet have a bathroom. That's why I'm not overly thrilled with it.

Do you know where this place is?

I have a random autism question for you. I have this friend who's somewhat autistic. He's shy and closed off from people. I want to get to know him better, but I don't want him to get the wrong idea like I'm hitting on him (he's 29 and never had a relationship in his life). What's a good way to handle it so he doesn't feel threatened or welcome to make an advance, yet still see that there are people in the world willing to listen and open up to?

The other place (not in Stapleton) is on Giordan Terrace, over by Richmond Terrace. A bit far, but the bus runs over there.
