Why didn't you guys tell me it was worth watching? Of course, I can't say anything for the COMPLETELY PREDICTABLE cliffhanger ending. I hate cliffhanger endings. Gah. I'm tired and can't say anything coherant. Nightnight.

Hey, I've been saying it's worth watching for a month or so now! Sheesh people.

It didn't occur to me. :-)

Of course the ending was predictable... after all, it was essentially a remake of the series premiere from 25 years ago, so it's pretty obvious how it's going to end. Well, OK, they did change it somewhat, but even so.

Don't forget to watch the series premiere on the SciFi channel on Friday night!

Uh, the cliffhanger ending was entirely new to the remake.

...?

The Cylons have wiped out most of the human race, there's a ragtag fleet, and they're now running for their lives. Same ending as with the series premiere for the original series.

There was a particular twist to the new Galactica, yes... but I saw it as more inconsequential to the main idea, which was setting up the fleet running away. Maybe that's just my perspective.

I refuse to watch it because I love the original Battlestar Galactica. If this new series had been about a group of humans whose colonies had been destroyed who are looking for earth while being chased by bad aliens without using the name "Battlestar Galactica" then I'd be glued to the TV watching it happily. But it is not Battlestar Galactica.

But the ragtag fugitive fleet is not a cliffhanger ending. It's the premise of the show, not a cliffhanger.

The cliffhanger ending is the revelation that [SPOILER] is [SPOILER].

Oh, c'mon, even Richard Hatch came around and appeared on two episodes of the new show...

PS: I like that this show is less about Mormonism and more about hot people fucking.

Yes, that part, I agree, is unique. (BTW, did you guess right about who that was? I didn't... *chuckle*)

The original Battlestar Galactica show was overloaded with LDS themes and references. BG:Mormonism :: Narnia:Christianity

BTW, most of (all of?) season one has already been shown in the UK, so you can read reviews and episode synopses and stuff online.

From what I've read, I approve of the way they're taking the plot about [SPOILER].

Oh, and did I mention that I love Gaius Baltar?
