Sample quotes:

It is time for women to stop waltzing to the tune of victim-hood and acknowledge the reality of women in America. Alexis de Tocqueville once said, "I have nowhere seen women occupying a loftier position ...[and] if I were asked ... to what the singular prosperity and growing strength of that people [the Americans] ought mainly to be attributed, I should reply: To the superiority of their women."

Dude. Alexis de Tocqueville lived before the Civil War. Is this really how far back you had to go to find quotes to support your argument? Conditions back then can hardly be said to equal conditions today.

Feminism leads women to believe that their own selfish self-fulfillment is what's most important."

I'm sorry if I think being able to support myself is important. I know, it's selfish. Instead, I should find somebody to pay my bills, for the exchange of my singlehandedly raising his kids, cleaning his house, cooking his food, and fucking. And in my spare time, I should get into politics and push my views on others.

Recent legislation in the UN known as CEDAW (The Convention on Elimination of All forms of Discrimination against Women) is the most recent attempt to feminize law. Worse than the ERA, its aim is to enforce gender neutrality onto all legislation concerning marriage and other traditional customs and practices.

The horror. THE HORROR.

To bolster her point she pointed to statistics on occupational deaths every year in America to illustrate that, by and large, women in America have the resources in their own homes and the privilege of not having to work at hazardous jobs if they do not want to. The firemen lost in the World Trade Center were a perfect example she noted, where 343 firemen died compared to 0 firewomen.

Your point? The only reason no female firefighters were killed was because there is great discrimination still, and it's hard for them to get in. The few females in the ranks were all either not in the area or on vacation. And yes, those who get in do get in on the basis of their skills, not their sex. Your argument supports THE OTHER SIDE!

This brought Ms. Schlafly to the third feminist fantasy: namely that there is more fulfillment in the workforce reporting to a boss than at home with a husband and child

I don't know anyone who believes anything so simplistic. I know people who believe there is equal fulfillment, depending on the person, and I know many MANY people who feel that both parents should be able to spend time with their children. Are you aware that it is nearly impossible to support a family on one income nowadays? Or that Americans have longer working hours for less pay than anyone else in the Western world?

According to the Wall Street Journal, 52% of successful women are divorced or unmarried compared to only 5 % of men. Moreover, says Schlafly, feminism is just not compatible with happiness:

And I care because...? Maybe, just maybe, they didn't want to be with those people? Maybe, just maybe, those successful men have less pressure on them than the women?

Phyllis Schlafly is America's best-known advocate of the dignity and honor that we as a society owe to the role of fulltime homemaker. The mother of six children, she was the 1992 Illinois Mother of the Year.

I have an unrelenting urge to write her and thank her for acknowledging that my father, by staying home and raising us, was deserving of dignity and honor just for that....

EVEN TAKING INTO account the extraordinary capacity of the left for hallucinatory self-aggrandizement, the insipid blather about the feminists and the total radio silence on Phyllis Schlafly is astonishing.

Okay, that was a quote by Ann Coulter, but why it's on the front page of this woman's bio, I don't know. People? The goal is to make people believe you are above petty insults. That's how you gain credibility.

Honestly, I went to the second site, it took me a minute to realize it wasn't satire. This is very scary. *shudders* I really didn't know there were people who still thought like that!
