Hrm. I'm apparently an unnatural freak then. I don't close the door to pee unless there is a chance my husband will walk by and see me sittin' on the toilet. (Hey, I'm comfortable talking about diarrhea with him or letting him hear me piss, but he doesn't need to see it. We've only been married 5 months!)

Heh. Our bathroom is arranged such that the toilet is direct line-of-sight from the door. So you kind of have to shut it, unless you want everyone in the kitchen to see you pee.

But yeah, there are limits.

I dunno, I always close the door. When I was little, my best friend and I always went to the bathroom together, but nowadays, I'm more squeamish, I guess. It's funny -- I'm not terribly bashful about my body -- when I was in seventh grade, a girl in my gym class and I would see who could dress out faster, and I would win because I'm willing to strip to my undies and dress from there, while she would only get half-naked at a time. I blame it on theater -- sharing a dressing room with a dozen or more other girls (with a couple of them doing the Panty Dance) loosens you up. But I still close the door when no one's home.

I close the bathroom door, because kitty likes water, and it's unnerving to have a huge, furry mass against your legs when you shower. Like... WHOA. That, and the bathroom is pretty open to view, as it is.

I feel like the freak.

I always shut my bathroom door. Mostly because my bathroom is FREEZING and I don't want my bedroom (I'm in the former master bedroom, so I have my own bathroom. rock on.) to get cold.

That, and my mirror-thingie in my room is juuust so that when you enter my room, you cen see into the bathroom via the reflection.

But I always close it, if only to keep eyes away. I also lock it because certain members of my family that shall not be named have no clue what knocking is.

*LOL* Here at the apartment, we usually don't bother closing the door unless we're taking a bath (the whole wet-chill thing) or if the other is being a silly pest. *shrugs* We VERY rarely have guests over, so no issue there. Sometimes even at my parents' house I don't bother if nobody else is upstairs...I'll hear them coming up the stairs in more than enough time to reach over and shut the door (it's a relatively small bathroom).

I guess I'm not a natural human either, as I don't close the door when I'm in the bathroom either. lol Hell, sometimes people walk into the bathroom when I'm using it and it doesn't bother me that much, depending on the person.
If I'm somewhere other than home of course I close the door, but the idea that you have to close the door otherwise is silly...

As for showers, I like having the door closed, otherwise it's cold. :P

I'm one of those people who close and even lock the bathroom and toilet doors even if they're home alone. However, I'd never consider anyone weird who doesn't.

I always leave it open, unless I have company. For me, I think it's a matter of laziness, but if I close it, my cat comes scratching at the door, and she won't stop unless I let her in. This is usually just at night, though. During the day, she hides from the kids. But I still leave the door open.

I close it if there are people visiting who might care (or if there are people visiting and I'm not thinking clearly enough to remember if they'd care). Otherwise, I don't.

Mostly because I tend to randomly talk to people and dislike having to stop for such a stupid reason.

I close the door for showering, sometimes, so as to keep the heat in.
